DJ Biography

Mickey has been involved in many aspects of the music business over the years. Mickey first came to prominence as a founder member of Blackmarket records (Soho , London) in the late eighties , where Mickey managed the R&B & Hip Hop section downstairs, selling to all the major Dj's including Tim Westwood.

Mickey made a name for himself playing at the legendary "Respect" at the Wag (London) alongside Trevor Nelson , "Shuffles" with Trevor Nelson and "Garage City" with the Zoo Experience. Around that time Mickey started a ground breaking R&B radio show on Kiss Fm (London) alongside Steve Jervier. "Mickey D in the mix" was one of the highlights of the show.

Mickey has also produced and remixed records notably for D'influence (Co-Produced 2 songs on their first lp including "Good lover") and Incognito (Remixed "Inside Life" and "Can you Feel Me").

He has also had a very successful career in the music industry as a Senior A&R Director at Warner music UK, signing acts such as Mark Morrison and Shola Ama.

Other clubs of note include some "Lick Parties", "Delirious" at the player club. International clubs "Shocking" & "Hollywoods" in Milan & "Nells" in New York.

Mickey currently manages new producers Fullundred & new artist Tyson Speede. His next club venture will be the Embassy club in London's West End, playing his usual versatile selection of current gems mixed with funky classic's, watch this space.

His long tenure at WEA was distinguished by having signed, developed and guided of the careers of many successful artists, including:
